As quoted by Sky Sports, former Barcelona midfielder Xavi has gone on to lavish Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez with high praise.

Many knew that Arsenal had managed to secure the services of a quality player when they signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona during the summer of 2014 for a fee believed to be in the region of around £32 million and it has to be said that the Gunners’ investment on the Chilean superstar has paid huge dividends.

Sanchez has managed to set the Premier League alight with his stunning performances at the Emirates Stadium over the past two-and-a-half seasons and the 27-year-old has been leading Arsenal’s title challenge during the current campaign.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Bournemouth defender Steve Cook has admitted that he would be happy to see Jack Wilshere join the Cherries on a permanent basis.

Jack Wilshere made a move to Bournemouth on a season long loan deal this summer in his search for regular first team football and as surprising as the transfer may have been, it has to be said that the midfielder’s decision has been justified.

Wilshere has managed to establish himself as a key figure in the Bournemouth side which has performed extremely well so far this season and it is certainly great to see the 24-year-old returning his best following two horrid years ravaged by injury problems.

Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez has gone on to explain how learning has helped him develop as a person.

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is sort of a person who always strives for improvement and it is clear to see from the wonderful effort he puts on the pitch every single game that the Chilean attacker’s will to win is unbounded.

Such a fine mentality is what has made Alexis the brilliant player he is today and despite being 27; it would not be a surprise if the former Barcelona man further develops as a player in the coming years.

According to reports from ESPN FC, Premier League giants Arsenal are close to agreeing new contracts with the duo of Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin.

Most of the talk surrounding Arsenal at the moment has been regarding their protracted negotiations with the star duo of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, and it remains to be seen as to whether the Gunners will be able to tie down their two stars to new contracts.

Arsenal cannot be too preoccupied by negotiations with Sanchez and Ozil though as a number of other players in the squad are also nearing the end of their respective deals at the Emirates Stadium and the North London giants will most certainly have to focus their attention towards keeping every member of the team happy.

According to French radio station RMC (via the Metro), Mesut Ozil is trying to persuade Arsenal to secure the services of compatriot Julian Draxler during the upcoming January transfer window.

Arsenal have clearly been long time admirers of attacker Julian Draxler and the Gunners now finally stand a great chance of securing the services of the German international.

Draxler has made it clear in no uncertain terms that he wants to leave Wolfsburg as soon as possible and it seems certain that the former Schalke star will be departing the Bundesliga outfit during the upcoming January transfer window, with chief Klaus Allofs already confirming that the attacker will not play for the club again.
