German international star Marco Reus has emerged as a top transfer target for the Gunners, as Arsène Wenger looks to add another midfielder to the club this season.
The Borussia Dortmund player was reportedly close to joining the club earlier in the summer, but it was revealed that any potential deal was withdrawn after a knee injury ruled the player out of the World Cup.

The Metro claims that Reus would be available for £19.8 million next summer, due to a trigger of a release clause in his contract if the North London side are patient enough to wait for him.

It is being reported that Arsenal are going to abandon the pursuit of a defensive midfielder and play Chambers there instead.
This is after being linked with potential signing such as William Carvalho and Sami Khedira.
Wenger was impressed by Chambers performance in the Emirates cup and had the following to say on him;
"He can play central midfield as well as he has good technique, great mobility and is a good, good distance runner," Wenger said

It is believed that Barcelona have bid £10 million for the services of Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen who is 3rd in the pecking order behind Mertesacker and Koscielny.
However, if Vermaelen does leave then Arsenal will need to find a replacement.

Today has seen youngster Dan Crowley sign his first professional contract. Crowley was absolutely delighted which is no surprise. Crowley tweeted the following;
“Buzzing to have singed my first professional contract, thanks to my family and agent for helping me along the way!”
Crowley may be a new name to many fans but this player is highly rated and signed from Aston Villa last summer. Crowley is described by many as the next Jack Wilshere due to his style.
